Chris DiTrani

Principal Solutions Architect

Prior to joining LiveData to lead the engineering, implementation, and product support teams, Chris held development and management positions at several startup technology companies in the Boston area, including Cambridge Signal Technologies and Microsystems Software. Chris attended Berklee College of Music and worked as a musician in Boston and New York before returning to school to earn a BS in Physics from Northeastern University.

Joe Fitzgerald

Senior Software Engineer

Joe has long experience in the industrial control arena, starting with implementation of SCADA systems in the plastics and textile industries, then later as a software engineer for GE Automation & Controls. Joe then moved to Cambridge Technology where he wrote motion control software on both embedded and PC platforms. He holds degrees from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Brandeis University. At LiveData Utilities, Joe works on RTI Server internals, as well as leading the company's cybersecurity efforts.
Christophe Gerard
Christophe Gerard

Senior Architect

Christophe is a hands-on developer leading the software architecture evolution of the RTI Platform. He brings expertise in real-time messaging, signal processing, machine learning and behavioral/cognitive neuroscience. Throughout his career, Christophe often held cross-functional roles in system architecture, software development, product management and operations across various industries such as electric power, telecommunications, internet and education/research. He holds a PhD in EE&CS from the University of Paris-Sud and one patent.

President

Brad Harkavy is the President of LiveData Utilities. He leads business development, strategy, and overall management of the Utilities business. Brad brings extensive executive-level experience growing public and private industrial and high tech businesses.  Through his executive positions, advisory, and board work, he has successfully accelerated ideas and technology into innovative products and services for over 20 companies, including BPG, CoolChip, GrabCAD, GSI, Purchased, Sagewell, SMTP, Teradyne, and Vert.  Brad holds a BSEE from Carnegie Mellon University and three patents.
Kevin Hughes
Kevin Hughes

Support Manager

Kevin has been in the utilities industry for over 15 years, starting his career at American Energy Management and Integrated Process Technologies, where he served as an Automation Engineer and Customer Support Manager. Kevin served as an Operations NCOIC in the U.S. Army, most recently serving with the Corps of Engineers' Afghanistan District South in Kandahar. He holds degrees from University of Massachusetts – Lowell and American Military University. At LiveData Utilities, Kevin provides engineering, installation, technical training, and documentation for RTI Server - our high speed, high availability protocol server software for use by power generation and transmission entities in the U.S and in Europe.
Shamnaz Riyaz
Shamnaz Riyaz

QA Software Engineer

Shamnaz began her career as a software engineer in the digital media domain at Aricent Inc., post completion of BE (ECE) from MSRIT, India. She then moved to Boston to pursue M.S in ECE from Northeastern University. She has published an article in the IEEE Communications magazine on wireless device identification. Her research interests include machine learning for radios, wireless network security and big data analysis. At LiveData Utilities, her role is to lead efforts towards software quality assurance for the RTI platform.

Marketing Manager

Allison holds degrees from Tulane University and Babson College. She began her career in financial services developing some of the industry's earliest real-time clearing systems. As a consultant Allison has helped many startups and nonprofits deliver their products and services to wider audiences before joining LiveData.

David Sweeton
David Sweeton

Director of Server Technology

David is a former college professor. He began his industry career at the Allen Bradley company in 1980. In 1986, David was a founding member of COMMSOFT, which developed factory floor communications. COMSOFT was acquired in 1992 by Cycle Software, which was later renamed LiveData. David was a founding member of the MMS working group, serving as the designer of the Variables section, which serves as a central foundation for ICCP. As Director of Server Technology, David plays a critical role in architecting and deploying LiveData RTI Server instances throughout LiveData Utilities diverse customer base.
Shack Toms
Shack Toms

Director of Information Architecture

Shack holds a MS in Physics from University of Michigan as wells as a BA in Physics from Lake Forest College. He began his career as a software supervisor for Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley, a leading provider of industrial automation services in the United States. Shack served as the President of the Communications Software Corporation from 1986 to 1995, when he joined LiveData as Director of Information Architecture.
